Our story have started in the 1960’s —
After the world war II…
Germany was facing a labor shortage and designed a program to bring in so-called “guest workers”. As sons of a family from the Black Sea coast in Turkey,
the Kütüklü Brothers decided to go to Germany in the 1960s at a young age.
Aydin Kütüklü delved into the woodworking business, while Veysel Kütüklü entered the metalworking industry in the area Stuttgart in Germany.
After gaining eight years of valuable experience, Veysel returned to Turkey and founded in 1968 a metalworking workshop in Istanbul. The workshop, which is now known as VK Mattress Machinery, quickly became the leading manufacturer of bonnell spring machines.
Meanwhile, Aydin pursued his career in the woodworking industry until his retirement in the Ruhr Valley, Germany. Years later, his grandchild, Recep Kütüklü, founded Mattress Production, a company that is providing solutions to mattress manufacturer all around the globe.
He leveraged the knowledge and experience of the Kütüklü brothers and followed in their footsteps to carry on the story that started back in the 1960s.
With a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen/Germany, Recep Kütüklü worked as a sales engineer for VK Mattress Machinery for long years.
This experience allowed him to gain deep insights into the industry and the needs of mattress manufacturers, making him an invaluable partner to mattress maker around the world.
